Time has flown by since we started our trip on Sept. 28th. We spent the 1st couple of nights in Chicago at the Windy City Campground, then we went to Cleveland to visit some friends, and camped at a real funky campground called Willow Lake. We had a commode issue and had to get it repaired. Dan found an RV place on the internet and it turned out to be a good find as the owner and his Dad were really nice people. They even invited us for birthday cake while we were there. When you have toilet issues in an RV, there are lots of “poopy” jokes. Kind of embarrassing having some guy peer into your black water tank after he takes the commode out to repair the flush mechanism. Anyway they did a good job and we were back on the road in a few hours.
Our first destination was Hartford CT where we attended the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) fall convention. We parked on the airport with ERV and lived there for 3 nights and 4 days. We used ERV as a display backdrop in the Light Sport Aircraft display area. We hung one of our banners on the side of the motor home and had our tables set up with literature.
After the AOPA show we went to South Woodstock CT, a place we visited last Sept., to spend some time with Flight Design USA. We camped at the airport for about a week, and enjoyed the peaceful nature of the rural part of Connecticut. We conducted some business with FD USA, and had some nice social time with Tom and Natasha Peghiny who own that business
After Woodstock we went to Lititz PA, (near York PA) to see another business connection at the Lititz Airport. We again were able to camp at the airport in the terminal parking lot. We only stayed one night there, but had a nice tour of Liberty Sport Aircraft, and a good visit with the owner, John Calla.
We are currently in the Washington DC area, at a real nice KOA campground. Yesterday we saw some of the outdoor monuments and memorials in DC, such as the WW II, Korean, and Vietnam memorials, Of course WA monument, Capitol Building and Lincoln Monument. We went to the Botanical Garden and took a glimpse inside the Air and Space Museum. We intend to go back into the city tomorrow for some more Museum visits. There is so much to see and do here, we could spend weeks in DC and not see it all. Hopefully we can get back here on a future trip.
More later from further South.

Great job, Ran'! This will be easy for folks to see, better than via email, I believe. I signed up for RSS feed, so it should notify me of your next post.
Can't wait for the next installment! Have fun with it.

Looks good Randee! This is my first blog account and I have no idea what I'm doing??? However, I'm hoping to figure it out so I can keep up on ERV's travels!
We just closed the cabin for the season. Now I'm watching the Vikings blow a lead against Dallas. That should take my mind off my melancholia??
Keep it coming! Sally C.
What a great idea Randee. Looking forward to further exploits.
Doc is a beauty!!!
